THE RADICALLY
NEW JMW-12.7 TONEARM is the end result of a search
for a tonearm that meets the following criteria:
- A CNC machined tapered arm tube for minimum standing waves
in the arm wand and maximum rigidity with low mass.
- Fully adjustable in all parameters to optimize results from
any cartridge.
- Totally rigid mounting system that literally becomes part
of the turntable chassis.
- Universal cartridge compatibility with stylus resonances in
the 9 to 11 HZ range.
- The best Nordost Valhalla wire (comes as standard).
- The choice of either XLR or RCA outputs.
- Adjustable fluid damping for optimal cartridge compatibility.

The New JMW-10.5i tonearm.
A new base and dog leg were designed to incorporate the full
sized azimuth rings of the 12.6 and 9 Signature tonearms onto
the 10.5i. This results in
a lower center of gravity, greater stability, lower distortion,
and a great cross between the sweetness of the 12.6 and the
speed and impact of the 9 Signature.
You can do VTA while listening for the ultimate in setup control.

10.5i UPGRADES (FACTORY DIRECT ONLY)
(A) Scoutmaster/JMW 9 upgraded to 10.5i is $1500 plus your tonearm.
(B) Scoutmaster/JMW 9-Signature upgraded to a 10.5i id $1000
plus arm.
(C) SSM/JMW9-Signature upgraded to a 10.5i is $1000 plus tonearm.
(D) SSM/JMW 9 upgraded to JMW 10.5i is $1500 plus tonearm.
Credit for tonearms less than one year old will be at full retail
value.
The 10.5i modification kit is user friendly and is installed
with four wooden screws and a metal plate which is mounted onto
the topplate of the turntable.
After receiving your modification kit, please return your tonearm
in VPI's packaging/box.

Cartridges are not sold separately, only
mounted on VPI tonearms.
- 3 gram stainless steel cartridge weights are available for
better compatibility with the light low compliance cartridges
being made today. ($15.00 retail)
- New custom made VPI/Dynavector
20X special cartridge with 1 millivolt output and threaded
screw holes in the aluminum body is now available. Combining
the speed of the low output with the richness and low noise
of the high output makes the VPI/Dynavector a perfect combination.
It can be factory mounted on all VPI
tonearms.

XLR balanced junction box, (no more adapters or special interconnects)
is now available. The box has male XLR’s in the rear.
- The “Ball Suspension” conversion for the HR-X
and TNT 4, 5, and 6 includes the balls, ball cradles, and foam
separators. The new system never looses air, never changes level,
and isolates at the 96% point.
- A motor/flywheel combination for the Aries, Aries 2, and
all TNT turntables is
available. This fits into the round cutout on the left side
where the motor normally goes and gives the sound of the HR-X
to any turntable. A machined
housing, 300 RPM motor, 10 pound flywheel spinning at 400 RPM
is included. Fot best results it hould be used with the SDS.

The 300 RPM motor works on the Scout, Aries 1, and earlier TNT
models. Do NOT order a 300 RPM motor for the Aries 2 or Scoutmaster;
they already have it.
- The HR-X periphery Ring does NOT fit the Scout
and Black Knight platters; it only fits the Aries-3,
TNT-6, TNT-JR,
Super Scoutmaster, and Scoutmaster
Platters. The ring does NOT fit any older platter made with
metal or lead.
- You can use an Aries-2 and 3 platter on the HW-19 if you use
a new larger pulley or SDS speed
controller. The Scout platter with inverted bearing is available
for the HW-19 at $300.00 retail.
- The following dustcovers are available: Scout, TNT with flywheel,
Aries with flywheel, HW-19-JMW, regular cover, Super
Scoutmaster, and HR-X/TNT-6
cover (pictures to follow).
- Shielded low noise phono cables are available in 1, 1.5, and
2-meter lengths in balanced and single ended mode.
