We are very excited about our recent event with Hi-Fi Sales in Cherry Hill New Jersey! This event kicked off the release of the VPI Voyager, and VPI Fatboy tonearm. In addition there were a lot of other VPI goodies for everyone to enjoy. We have had a number of events with Hi-Fi Sales but this was one of the more enjoyable ones, that might be because of the top notch deli sandwiches! We had a listening session with the Fatboy the previous night in our VPI showroom but wanted to make sure it was still dialed in. The The Fatboy has more adjustabile features and ease than any arm we have made in the past. Having a fine adjustment knob on the counter weight made it a breeze to hit exactly 2.00 which is what the Ortofon A-95 likes to track at. Azimuth can be adjusted using the adjustable side weights, the stabilizer (AKA Dual Pivot), and two set screws we added on the side of the arm to adjust Azimuth even more. Once dialed in we were ready to play. The main system featured the VPI Titan with Fatboy arm, and mounted Ortofon A-95. The debuting VPI Voyager served as a solid-state phono stage match up driven by Bryston Electronics, Crystal Clear cable, and Focal speakers. Pictured above is VPI engineer, ADS and Voyager designer Mike Bettinger going through the finer details of his creation and how it works in anyone's system! Retailing at 2,500 USD we are excited about this unit and how well it performs. One album in particular, which has become a female vocal reference, Anne Bisson Trio - Four Seasons in Jazz really brought Ms. Bisson into the room! Though the actual Anne and her personality is more exciting to have in the room, her album was detailed, sweet, and full of life. (Anne feel like dropping by Jersey?) Hi-Fi Sales also had two other note worthy systems set up covering the gambit of price points. We all love the Titan, but lets be honest! The Titan System at Hi-Fi Sales is a special system and not everyone wishes to have as ambitious a set-up in their own homes. We love being able to achieve quality sound at any price point. The entry level system as you walked into the store was using the VPI Cliffwood, our 900 USD entry level turntable with mounted VPI Green. We received as many compliments for its performance as we did on the Titan, Prime Signature and the two Avengers on display at Hi-Fi Sales. I have to admit, I never thought I would like the looks of a speaker in yellow, but somehow, the new Focal Kantas driven by Naim electronics makes it work, and makes me consider a matching yellow Cliffwood! A nice step-up from the Cliffwood system was the 2nd Two Channel Room running a VPI Prime Signature using a periphery ring accessory with Ortofon Quintet Black, Focal Sopra 2 speakers, and Naim electronics. As always, we appreciate the H-Fi Sales team for a great event and presentation and we hope everyone who came had just as much fun as we did!

Kraske electronics AG will present a range of highlights from Prima Luna, KISEKI, Credo Audio Switzerland, Van den Hul and we are particular pride to present the products from VPI. The system is built around the outstanding VPI Avenger Plus with two tonearms. The cartridges will be a KISEKI Purple Heart N.S. and the very rare Van den Hul Colibri Signature Stradivarius. The Credo Audio Switzerland loudspeakers, amplifier and cables are all hand-crafted in Switzerland. Credo Audio will show their latest floor- standing loudspeaker. It is their first 3-way design. The closed cabinet design features a 12“ Scan- Speak double- ferite magnet sub-woofer. For the crossover they have chosen CFC foil-coils and MCap Supreme EVO capacitors from Mundorf. Of course it also features the company’s own isolation- feet, milled in 15mm aluminum. Fully hand- crafted in the Credo Audio manufactory. Credo Audio shows as premiere the new Reference Phono Pre- amplifier. The system will be complete with Van den Hul 3T True Transmission Tegnologie cables.
PrimaLuna tube amplifiers have outstanding technical and sound characteristics. The amplifiers are therefore very reliable thanks to „adaptive auto-bias“ the tubes have an extremely long life. The carefully designed circuit board controls each individual tube without affecting the signal path or sound. Visit us in Suite 323 and Brakout Room 2. Don't miss the party at Capital Audiofest in the Adams room! Mike is known for his award winning "Arion" phono, which is how we met him. Harry Weisfeld liked his phono so much he bought one for his personal use. Mike has taken what he learned combined it with the R&D resources and feedback of the VPI team and together has created a more affordable and robust flavor. The goal of the Voyager is to create an easy phono option for music lovers getting involved in the VPI line. Voyager has been designed using VPI turntables and is naturally synergistic with our line. In addition, the Voyager gives customers who might own a different turntable brand a chance to join the VPI family through our phono preamplifier. VPI's new Voyager phono preamplifier is the latest addition to the VPI product line and will retail for 2,500 USD. The Voyager is a true high-performance design that provides both MM/MC gain and two input capability. With a front panel selection of inputs and MC/MM gain and loading, tonearm and cartridge swaps are easily accomplished. MM gain is 42db, loading 47K ohms; capacitive loading is selectable between 100pf, 200pf and 270pf. MC gain is 62db with loading selectable between 100, 500 and 1K ohms. Internal switching of gain and loading is accomplished using high reliability small signal relays. The Voyager faceplate is interchangeable and could be swapped down the road with different finishes. Circuit Overview:
The Voyager utilizes a two stage design: a JFET-based input stage providing the interface with the cartridge, and the gain and drive for the 75 microseconds passive equalization network that follows it. The second stage provides an additional 24db of gain and provides active feedback for tracking the low frequency portion of the RIAA curve. Both stages are based on matched cascoded Linear Systems JFETS and are servo controlled. Cascode references are supplied by precision/ low noise reference devices. The power supplies are unity gain voltage reference designs for fast response and low noise. The circuit layout is a work of engineering art and the results of many years of study and experimentation. The Voyager presents a sense of purity and low level detail resolution that is highly musical. The design is intentionally symmetrical and single-ended. The Voyager is expected to ship in the USA early to mid-November, just in the time for the holidays. Shipping internationally first quarter 2018. The Voyager will be on display both at the Capital Audio-fest show and at CES 2018. You can always “Hear the Magic” of Bob's Devices at the Rocky Mountain Audio Festin Denver. Bob provides a fun, educations, and insightful music experience. More importantly, this year he brought the first production showing of the new VPI Prime Signature in Rosewood! Bob Sattin, owner of Bob's Devices (you guessed it, he is "Bob") has always had a thing for our Rosewood tables! Above is an older picture of Bob with our first Rosewood table, the Classic 4! It was only fitting that Bob would be sporting the new curvy Prime Signature in this same finish! Bob was in the Marketplace demonstrating his Step-Up Transformers with the new VPI Industries Prime Signature Rosewood Turntable, Ortofon Cadenza Bronze Cartridge and an LKV Research 2-SB phono stage. The LKV phonos, besides also being made in America, have been a usual and synergistic pairing with all VPI tables! Bob's Step-Up is a great accessory for any VPI customer who has a low output cartridge that needs that extra kick. In addition Bob displayed, and sells, a number of High-End headphones to give the show attendees a chance to immerse themselves into the listening experience. If you missed Bob at RMAF, Capital Audio-fest is right around the corner! Bob will be there in full force with another Prime Signature in Rosewood.
