VPI TNT Jr

Sonically, the TNT Jr. is a significant step up from the HW-19 Mk.IV. Its huge sound stage and rock-solid presentation are unprecedented at its price point. The Jr. is capable of clearly defining the rear of the concert hall and the very outer edges of the soundfield. The speakers seemingly disappear as instruments appear from well beyond their boundaries.

The TNT Jr. incorporates many of the technical advances found in the TNT series of turntables, but at a considerably lower price. The Jr. utlizes the same heavy duty motor, 21 Ib. stainless steel motor assembly, spindle and bearing as the TNT, but borrows the platter from the HW-19 Mk.IV. In lieu of the TNT's stainless steel corner posts and spring suspension , the TNT Jr. uses solid machined Delrin corner posts and Sorbothane as the isolation material. Using the same plinth as the TNT, the TNT Jr. is easily upgradeable to full TNT status at any time.

The TNT Jr. can optionally be fitted with a motor flywheel, the Synchronous Drive System speed controller, and an isolated three-loop pulley drive system.
