Thinking of installing a Tru-Lift auto-lifter to better protect my cart in those rare times I’m away from my Prime 21 when an album ends. I see that Integrity HiFi’s Tru-Lift Model #3 + PUCK: Adjustable Height 2 3/8 to 2 3/4 has some favorable online reviews from VPI owners who attest to its performance and premium build, particularly for VPI tables. Thoughts on pros and cons of that model and/or other auto tonearm lifters that might be considered? [https://www.integrityhifi.ca/tru-lift]

I use the Audio Technica. long read dna sequencing
The Tru-Lift Model #3 with base puck is ostensibly “exclusive to VPI”, designed specifically for the Prime(s) and other tables. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IusQDW9SPNo] Matt [or VPI colleagues]: is there a reason you folks apparently haven’t designed and/or marketed an auto-lifter for direct sale as an accessory option? And does VPI have any issues/concerns with lifters in general, especially those relatively premium products like the widely popular and compatible Tru-Lift or Audio Technica models?
I use the Audio Technica.
Smoother and quiet compared to Q up. Easy to adjust when changing carts.
I have both a Q-Up and a Tru-Lift. They both work, but the Q is more fiddly to set up and can be more easily knocked out of alignment. The Tru-Lift is definitely more expensive, but once set up, just works without issue. The Q is cheap enough to try to see if you like the way it works. If you do, you won’t need to bother with a Tru-Lift. I only started having issues with my Q when I moved it to my second arm on my Avenger. I found there my hand just seems to bump into it more, throwing either the height or horizontal position off. YMMV.
