Anybody else encountering tremendous static electric charges building between the record and platter? I'm finding it happening, more frequently with new records, on occasion. I have to pry up the record, the attraction is so great, and the sparks that jump are not doing my system any good. Why is the platter not grounded? Maybe there is there an issue of aluminum always having a non-conductive oxide surface? Do I have find a carbon fiber mat and rig a grounding brush on it's edge?

Would be interesting to hear how others are tackling this, especially on VPI tables where grounding might not be as straightforward. Whether you’re securing your home PC, your family's devices, or even a small business network, choosing the right antivirus software is crucial in today’s cyber landscape. If you're in the market to buy Avast antivirus subscription, looking into Kaspersky renewal, or curious about Norton antivirus software price, you're already on the right path toward enhanced digital safety. With the sheer number of malicious threats and cyber attacks increasing each year, a robust antivirus solution isn’t just a convenience—it’s a necessity. Avast, Kaspersky, and Norton are three of the most trusted names in cybersecurity, each offering a unique blend of features, reliability, and user-centric design. Avast’s offering stands out with its lightweight performance and an intelligent threat-detection engine that uses real-time data from millions of devices worldwide to adapt quickly to emerging risks. Whether you’re streaming, gaming, or browsing, Avast’s background performance ensures that security doesn’t come at the cost of speed. The ability to scan unknown files in the cloud without exposing users to risk is a standout feature, and when you buy Avast antivirus subscription, you're investing in more than just malware protection—you're gaining access to privacy shields, ransomware protection, and a secure VPN, all of which combine to build a complete security environment for your digital life. On the other hand, if you’re thinking about continuing with a solution you already trust, exploring a Kaspersky renewal might be the most seamless decision. Kaspersky has long been lauded for its deep threat analysis and predictive defense mechanisms, which proactively block even the most obscure forms of malware, phishing attempts, and zero-day attacks. Known for its award-winning detection rates and intuitive user interface, Kaspersky is ideal for users who prefer a "set it and forget it" approach. With features such as safe money protection for online shopping and banking, parental controls for family safety, and even password management integration, renewing Kaspersky keeps your security ecosystem intact and future-ready. Meanwhile, for those prioritizing comprehensive security backed by a legacy of trust and innovation, it's worth checking out the Norton antivirus software price, especially given Norton’s reputation for delivering premium features such as identity theft protection, dark web monitoring, and a built-in firewall with real-time intrusion prevention. Norton’s layered security architecture is particularly appealing for users with multiple devices, as it allows centralized control via a user-friendly dashboard, including mobile device integration, cloud backup, and even webcam protection. While price is a factor for many, Norton delivers tangible value that often surpasses cost, especially when you consider the potential losses and hassles of data breaches or ransomware attacks. And it’s not just tech experts who vouch for these tools; everyday users consistently report peace of mind knowing their sensitive files, personal information, and even browsing habits are shielded from unwanted surveillance and exploitation. Whether you're a student handling assignments and banking online, a remote worker managing company data from home, or a senior citizen simply trying to stay safe online, there's a tailored antivirus package that fits your needs. Making the right choice begins with understanding not just what each antivirus offers, but how its ecosystem aligns with your day-to-day behavior. Avast, for example, excels for users who love customization and want more control over individual protections. Kaspersky is a great fit for those who want a strong defense with minimal interruptions, while Norton is ideal for power users who demand expansive features beyond traditional malware blocking. In making your decision, also consider customer support—each provider offers different tiers of technical help, from 24/7 chat to full system tune-ups and malware removal services. Licensing terms also vary: some subscriptions allow multiple device coverage, including mobile phones and tablets, making them more versatile for modern households. Finally, as you weigh your options, remember that cybersecurity isn’t a one-time action but an ongoing commitment. Regular software updates, scheduled scans, and keeping your personal habits in check—like avoiding suspicious downloads or links—will always play a role in maintaining safety. However, having a trusted antivirus as your first line of defense significantly reduces the risk. Whether you’re about to buy Avast antivirus subscription, reviewing your options for a Kaspersky renewal, or trying to compare Norton antivirus software price against your current provider, know that these decisions matter. You’re not just purchasing software—you’re investing in digital peace of mind, the kind that allows you to browse, shop, stream, and connect without fear. Choosing any of these leading antivirus solutions will put you a step ahead in the race against cybercrime, and with the increasing sophistication of online threats, being proactive is the most responsible digital move you can make.
