I was messing with my 10.5 unipivot on my Prime and noticed the set screw for the pivot pin. Is this supposed to be adjustable for height? or just for replacement?
I did play with it a bit and it just threw everything off.
I have one or two cart where I need to adjust the VTA knob almost all the way up.
Maybe use the pin to raise the arm some to lower the pivot?
I love that you told me about this article because I think it's fantastic. That is exactly what I was looking for, and I sincerely hope you will continue to share such excellent content in the coming years. quordle

thanks!
Assuming that your unipivot has the below noted bearing and you have not adjusted the female bearing cup, the exposed male spike should be between 0.5 - 0.6 inches. As a secondary test, the distance between the bottom of the azimuth ring and the dog leg platform, should be approximately 0.25".
Yes, it was made for both adjustment and replacement. We have a generic factory setting that works for most cartridges or at the very least don't have to be adjusted via the pin. Sometimes when the conditions are right (or wrong) the pivot point adjustment comes in handy to make up the difference in height. You can also adjust the female bearing on the inside of the arm if needed as well.
