Hi! I am currently looking for an experienced 3D Character Artist to work on a game project and would like to hear your opinion. I have several character concept arts and it is important for me to find a specialist who can not only model and texture, but also convey the character, emotion and style of the characters in 3D. How important is it for you to see a portfolio of already realized game characters, and not just student work? And what criteria do you consider key when choosing an artist for long-term cooperation?

A portfolio really shows whether the artist can handle complex characters. For me, seeing finished game-ready assets is much more valuable than just practice work. It proves they can deliver under real project conditions
