I want to speak English fluently. My main motivation is traveling. But there is a problem: a panic fear that someone will ask me something in English - and I will turn into silence. Or start mumbling. Because of this, it is embarrassing to even try. How did you start speaking when you were afraid of making a mistake or seeming stupid?

I understand your English learning struggles! It's like playing Drift Boss, you know you can drift, but the fear of crashing keeps you from pushing the limits. Instead of aiming for perfection, focus on small wins. Try repeating simple phrases, join online conversations, or even narrate your day in English silently. Every little effort counts toward smoother linguistic drifts.
Yup, that's how it'll be :D But what's the big deal? We're all human. The main thing is to pull yourself together in time and start talking as if nothing had happened. When I was applying for a job at a British company, I was also worried that there would be difficulties. But I had taken a business english course, which saved me. I knew all the necessary vocabulary, could easily talk about any topic, and keep up with any conversation. I also knew a few jokes in English that my teacher Promova taught me. I even told them at the interview, and my boss really liked them. So it's all in your hands!
Practice possible phrases out loud in advance: “Where are you going?”, “What’s the purpose of your visit?”. Right in roles. When you’ve already spoken, it’s not so scary to answer.
