Hey everyone, has anyone else had problems with the Roku remote app not working on their Mac? It used to be fine, but recently it just won’t connect to my Roku TV at all. I’ve tried restarting everything and even checked my Wi-Fi, but the app either freezes or shows no devices. It’s really frustrating because I rely on it a lot. Wondering if there’s a known fix or a workaround for this issue?

If the Roku Remote App isn’t responding on your Mac, try restarting both the Roku device and the app first. Also, make sure your Mac and Roku are on the same Wi-Fi network, since mismatched connections can cause issues. Clearing cache or reinstalling the app sometimes helps too. led wall panels
I’ve had the same issue — Roku remote on Mac suddenly won’t connect. Restarting devices sometimes helps, but not always. Some users found uninstalling and reinstalling the app works. Hey! Yeah, I ran into the same issue a while back. The Roku remote app on Mac can be super unreliable sometimes, especially after updates. One thing that helped me was making sure both my Mac and Roku were on the same Wi-Fi network—not just the same router but the exact same frequency band. Also, I found a detailed guide explaining common fixes for this exact problem here: remote control for Roku TV. It covers everything from resetting your network settings to adjusting firewall permissions on Mac. For me, disabling the Mac’s firewall temporarily and restarting both devices got it working again. Also, double-check if your Roku firmware is up to date because outdated software can cause connection drops. Hope this helps!
