I have a Fatboy Gimbal on a Classic Signature and have been chasing hum/static issues. I think I've narrowed it down to the possibility that the tonearm has lost its ground continuity--assuming its supposed to have it. If it is supposed to have a ground, how do I check it?

I've had similar hum issues with my setup before. A good starting point is to check the continuity between the tonearm's metal parts and the ground terminal on your amplifier. A multimeter set to continuity mode should do the trick. If you get no reading, that's a strong indicator of a grounding problem. It almost feels like playing detective in a simulation game, like trying to solve a career mystery in Bitlife , doesn't it?
