The stylus on my Dynavector 20X-2L sometimes slides across the lead in grooves on my lps. It's mounted on the JMW-9 Memorial arm on my older Scout. I'm not applying any anti skate other than the tonearm wire without any twisting. Tracking force on the Dyna is set at the recommended 2 grams. I have the anti skate mechanism but it's disconnected at present. I don't recall it doing this with my other carts, an ART9-XA and a ZYX Bloom 3. Any advice? Thanks, Sam

I hooked the gizmo up again and added a tiny bit of antiskate with it and it seems to have helped. I'm beginning to believe my que/lift is dropping too fast and needs to be replaced. When I drop it manually a bit at a time I don't have the sliding problem. It's an older Scout that I bought used in 2011 so it's probably time to replace it.
Make sure that your cue lift platform is fully engaged with the bottom of the rubber bumper underneath the tonearm armwand. Sometimes the tonearm slips off the cue lift and accelerates the tonearm forward.
Turntable perfectly level?
