I rang one provider’s helpline to find out about their terms and conditions. I was interested in their automated customer routing system, at first I was put on hold, but within less than a minute an available operator got in touch with me. How does that work?

This is a common situation now; it’s cool when you’re waiting for an operator and some jazz is playing in the background, and it’s even more interesting when they add an AI assistant – that’s a whole new level.
