Does anyone actually read app download page descriptions?

Okay, so I have a slightly embarrassing question. Does anyone actually read the full descriptions on app download pages before installing something? I mean, I usually just glance at the star rating, maybe look at the screenshots, and then hit install. I'm always running out of storage space so I should probably pay more attention. But honestly, who has the time? I'm usually just trying to quickly download whatever app my friend recommended or whatever seems to be trending. Am I alone in this, or are we all just blindly clicking "install" and hoping for the best?

I definitely used to skip them, but I've learned my lesson a few times! Now, I try to at least skim the important parts, especially the permissions it asks for. It's surprising what some apps want access to, even when it doesn't seem necessary. For example, I was looking at this article that highlights why app download pages matter more than most users realize, it actually made me think about this more. https://parivahansewass.co/why-app-download-pages-matter-more-than-most-users-realize/ They point out that a good download page can build trust by clearly explaining the installation process and what to expect. I think this is especially important on Android since you sometimes have to download an APK. I value transparency and a clear installation path.
