tracking force

I have an HRX with a "Uni" Fatboy tonearm and am looking to maximize the set-up. In the HRX manual under the heading "Tracking Force" it states "set the tracking force to the cartridge manufacturers recommendation PLUS 1/10 of a gram more". Under the heading Anti-skating" it states "increase the tracking force 1/10 of a gram above the manufacturers "HIGHEST" recommended tracking force". My cartride manufacturer (LYRA) recommends a tracking force range of 1.68-1.78 (with 1.72 recommended). My question is; "why woudn't I, or shouldn't I use the manufacturers recommendation of 1.72 for optimum results"?

That was semi my bad on the security settings. Made it so hard for the bots that it nabbed a bunch of real posts into pending! I personally feel at that point it is personal preference. I enjoy the sound a bit more when it is heavier so I always go on the higher side. However, when I'm setting up someone's system I ask what they would prefer and I roll with that. For me I get more punch and dynamics (with certain cartridges) with the heavier recommended weight. For example, Van Den Hul I always go on the heavier side.
