Switching vending machines to card payments at work

Hi everyone, I wanted to get some opinions on upgrading the vending machines in our office. At the moment, most of them still rely on cash, and it’s starting to feel outdated. People often don’t carry coins anymore, which means the machines are used less than they could be. We’ve also had a few complaints about not being able to buy something quickly during short breaks. Since the machines are placed in shared areas, convenience really matters. I’m wondering how difficult it is to switch to a system that supports card or mobile payments. If anyone has experience updating vending machines in a workplace, I’d be interested to hear how it worked out in practice.

We faced the same issue not long ago, and adding cashless payment made a noticeable difference. Once we looked into using a card vending machine, it became clear how much easier it is for everyday users. People could pay with contactless cards or mobile wallets without worrying about carrying cash. The upgrade didn’t require replacing the entire machine, as the cashless reader was integrated into the existing setup. It also sped up transactions, which helped during busy times like lunch breaks. From a practical point of view, it aligned better with how people already pay for things elsewhere.
