Scout Junior 600 rpm motor hum
Hello all. I have had my turntable for 5 years and I noticed when I turn on the motor I hear a steady hum. It's not very loud and does not interrupt the listening experience, but it is still there. I grabbed the pulley to see if it had any play, but it doesn't. The motor and the the plug are not touching the plinth in any way and the vibration doesn't seem to be coming from furniture it is sitting on. Any ideas on a possible solution besides buying a new motor?

Not sure if anyone else has run into this, but I’ve been burned too many times by Ethernet extenders that just… give up after a few months in rough environments.
I recently came across Enable-IT Ethernet Extender https://enableit.com/ethernet-extender/ - looks like they build everything in the US and actually design for harsh installs instead of pretending a server room is the real world.
Anyone here used their stuff in the field? I’m curious how they hold up long-term.Or if you’ve got other brands you swear by, I’d love to hear.
