Best access panel for laundry room plumbing?
Installing access for washer shutoffs in laundry room drywall. Area gets humid from dryer. Worried about rust or weak latches. Any solid options that won’t fail in a damp space?

Humidity kills cheap panels fast – rust spots and sticky doors. I picked a powder-coated steel one with strong magnets and a gasketed edge; zero rust after almost two years, even with steam from the dryer. Door stays shut tight, no rattling when machines run. Went 12×12 – enough for dual valves. Lightly caulk outer frame edges for extra moisture protection.
