Durability of vinyl graphics on off-road rigs - actual lifespan?
I’m considering adding some vinyl graphics to the side doors, but I’m skeptical about the longevity. Most aftermarket stuff tends to peel after a few months of sun exposure or trail riding. Has anyone here actually kept a set on for more than a year without fading?

From a technical standpoint, the longevity of these graphics depends entirely on the application method and the vinyl grade. I’ve found that the "peel and stick" approach usually results in failure within six months if you don't degrease the panel thoroughly. I recently helped install a set of rocker panel stripes. The material thickness was adequate, though the matte finish is unforgiving if you trap dust. When researching compatibility for Jeep decals I noticed that specific dimensions for the Renegade and Wrangler differ slightly, so measuring the panel gap is critical before ordering. Also, don't expect fast delivery from niche printers; logistics can be slow and items often sit in transit. It serves its purpose for covering scratches, but it’s not a permanent solution.
