How do people know when it is time to move on from a business?
Been thinking about this a lot lately. Some people start a business, grow it for a few years, and then suddenly decide to leave instead of pushing it further. Not talking about total failure, more like when the business still works but the owner feels stuck, burned out, or just wants a different direction. Curious how others look at that point. Is selling usually a smart move, or do most people regret it later?

A lot depends on why the owner wants out. If the business still has stable revenue, repeat customers, and clean operations, then choosing to sell a small business can make a lot more sense than dragging it forward with no energy left. Some people hold on too long just because they built it themselves, even when the timing for an exit is already better than the timing for more growth.
