Is travel nursing worth it in 2026?
Hey everyone! I’ve been looking into travel nursing again this year, and I think it can still be worth it, but probably not for everyone. The biggest advantage for me is having more flexibility with locations and contracts instead of being tied to one facility. I’ve been checking current assignments on https://tlcnursing.com to compare specialties, locations, and different opportunities. What I’ve learned is that weekly pay alone shouldn’t be the deciding factor. Housing costs, benefits, contract length, licensing, and recruiter support can make a big difference. If you’re flexible and willing to move, I think travel nursing is still a solid option in 2026.

I think it really depends on what you want from your career. The flexibility is appealing, but constantly changing facilities and moving every few months can get tiring. I’d compare a few actual contracts with a permanent position before making the switch.
