Platter at half speed, bad motor?
I have an Aries with a single flywheel motor. The platter is now turning at about half speed. I have quite a bit of vibration in the drive belts between the motor shaft and the flywheel. I replaced the drive belts, lubricated the motor and flywheel, and tried a different AC source. No change. Do you think the motor has gone bad? Scott Smith

I have a Superscoutmaster that was playing too slowly....I cleaned the bearing with Hopps#9. (an excellenr lub and cleaner I use for my guns). My VPI hasn't run so well for years.
