What keeps you playing a game?
I’ve been thinking about what actually makes me stick with a game long-term. Sometimes it’s the gameplay, sometimes the story but other times it’s small details like progression or how rewarding it feels to keep going.
There are games that look great at first but lose my interest quickly, and others that somehow keep me coming back even if they’re simple.
What do you think matters most mechanics story or something else?
