Mat Weisfeld: Teaching Business Technology with a Hands-On Approach
VPI owner Mat Weisfeld teaches IT-150, a Business Technology class, where he brings his real-world expertise into the classroom. Using VPI as a case study, students gain valuable insights into running a business, understanding technology, and navigating the competitive world of audio design. This approach transforms abstract concepts into tangible lessons, giving students a clear picture of how innovation, craftsmanship, and business strategy come together in the real world.

Our recent VPI advertisement and the Capital Audiofest cover graphic were the brainchildren of talented students and young designers. These projects provided them with the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge to real-life industry challenges, producing professional-grade work that reached a wider audience. Seeing their designs come to life not only boosted their confidence but also underscored the impact of fresh perspectives in the audio industry.

Several of these bright students, including Mat’s daughters, joined us at Capital Audiofest. Their involvement went beyond observation—they played integral roles in ensuring the event was a success.
