Shyla at the Factory

Just sent this email and felt like it was a good one to share with the rest of the family. For context this individual has been in the VPI family a long time and I believe his reached his high-end destination with us. If the person I emailed sees this, your email made my day and I'm looking forward to this table spinning in your home!
I'm leaving out the name incase the individual doesn't want to be known.
It was a pleasure putting together your table and mounting your Shyla cartridge. I thought you’d like to know that the actual Shyla helped me set up your table when pairing it with your ADS! She came over to my workbench to see what I was working on and got excited when she saw the “Shyla.” She always likes watching a cartridge mounted if it is hers. She doesn’t see too many of these tables — as you can imagine, we get a lot more orders for Primes and tables in that price category than for Avenger References!
It definitely made her day (and mine) teaching her about the dual-motor flywheel assembly and ADS speed box, and she helped me dial in the speed for 33.
Anyway, your table has either been packed or is in the process of being packed and will soon be on its way to you — complete with a new Shyla cartridge, properly calibrated by Shyla and myself!
Thanks for being part of the VPI family, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Talk soon,
Mat

For me that is what it is all about. I grew up in the factory tinkering and learning about turntables with Dad. Answered phones and talked to customers in the office with Mom. These interaction for both my children and for the customer make the difference. I thought it was so cool watching Shyla messing around with the ADS knobs and watching how the speed changed. Shyla's goal is to learn how to mount cartridges so she can be our set-up girl at Capital Audiofest!

A reminder that we are all human and an education for the next generation for VPI. Hope you all enjoyed and it was a lot of fun sharing these experiences with Shyla.
