“Mono a Mono”: Mono Lps and Cartridge

Dynamic Sounds Associates, in association with Analogue Productions, invites you to an audiophile experience like no other: the power, beauty, focus, textures, and dynamics produced only when monophonic Lps are played by a monophonic pickup cartridge.

Included in this demonstration are audiophile reissues by artists such as Ben Webster, The Beach Boys, Stan Getz, Jimi Hendrix, Duke Ellington, Bob Dylan, Sonny Rollins, Nat King Cole and The Beatles; and composers including Stravinsky, Sibelius and Beethoven.

The analog front end will begin with the Ortofon Cadenza Mono cartridge mounted on a VPI JMW-12 Fatboy tonearm on a VPI Avenger Reference turntable with Luminous Audio Silver Reference interconnects feeding into a Dynamic Sounds Associates Phono II.

The Lion’s share of the Lps to be auditioned come from Analogue Productions own Quality Record Pressings in Salina, KS

While the main presentation will take place in Suite 513, mono Lps will be also be auditioned (informally) during this time across the hall in Suite 513 through an Ortofon 2M cartridge and a VPI Player turntable/phono preamplifier.
